This week, we had the opportunity to sit down with Kendra Davison, our On-Site Coordinator for our Parker On-site team at Nintendo of America in Redmond. Kendra has been working with our Nintendo team for over a year, and was eager to share some of her day-to-day experiences and how she works with the Nintendo team to support their Nintendo Associates.
As On-Site Coordinator at Nintendo of America I get the unique opportunity of working with our Associates on a daily basis throughout their entire employment cycle. Having the luxury of working on-site allows me to walk candidates through the interview and hiring process, as well as act as a liaison for general questions throughout their entire time as a Parker Associate.
Each day is unique, which makes it so exciting to come into work in the morning. Some of my day-to-day responsibilities include working with Associate scheduling, writing newsletters to spotlight Parker-sponsored contests and events, as well as interviewing candidates for positons ranging from technical support to translation. Our team On-Site at Nintendo values collaboration and we are always working together to plan new and exciting engagement activities to celebrate our Associates and their dedication to excelling in their roles.

Bjorn Bonholzer is our Sr. Program Manager. He has an extensive background in HR and is always seeking resolutions to whatever conflict may come up. He invests a lot of time in providing career building opportunities for our current Associates – whether it be through resume critiques or advocating for Associates to participate in additional training.
Maria is our resident Recruiter and works to source qualified candidates that would find success in a role with Parker Staffing at Nintendo. She educates candidates about the positions available as well as advertising new roles or events on our On-site Twitter page, @parker_nintendo.
Zoe Stamolis is the VP of Parker Staffing. Over the last 20 years, Zoe was responsible for starting and building the On-site program and has truly created a special environment here at Nintendo.
Each of us make an extra effort to learn about our Associates – what interests them, what they find challenging in their roles. It’s this contact that helps us form relationships and create an environment where we aren’t just their employer but an advocate on their behalf and a friend.
Ways we have encouraged this relationship is through spotlighting a new Associate every month, celebrating Birthdays, sitting down for performance reviews, and having periodic check-ins to learn about their time with Parker Staffing and what we can do to aide their success. Plus… we always have candy in the office so Associates love to stop by and chat!
Customer Service is challenging, especially when providing technical support for consumers of all ages, backgrounds, and with varying knowledge of the systems. We always tell our Associates the three “keys” to success in the contact center are attendance, performance, and behavior. While these are definitely broad topics, we believe our most successful Associates perform well because they enjoy their jobs, they’re knowledgeable about the products, and they collaborate with their peers to put the consumer first. We find that when Associates focus on teamwork, they are more successful.
The most rewarding part of working on-site is forming relationships with the Associates we are fortunate enough to have onboard. This group is so passionate about the products and consumers of Nintendo that it is inspiring to play a part in their employment here.
