If you asked my friends why being a business development manager for a staffing company is right up my alley, they would tell you it is because I am a people person. I enjoy knowing how people tick. I’m inquisitive, and helping others is something that gives me great satisfaction.
These combined qualities make being a business development manager at Parker Staffing a natural fit. Parker encourages me to spend time with you, giving me the opportunity to learn all the intricacies of your company and its culture. I then take this knowledge and share it with my team, which helps us recruit for the vital hard skills to get the job done and the soft skills that make someone a cultural match, too. Knowing that we are helping both employers and candidates is a fulfilling experience; and the icing on the cake is when I am able to build and sustain strong friendships with my clients.
I am a true Seattle native – so native, I was born at Swedish Hospital! – and grew up in South Seattle and Renton. When I was in high school, I spent my afternoons working for my family’s business, Foreign Auto Rebuild, and stayed, side-by-side with my closest family members, for a significant portion of my adult life. The experience I gained from an employer perspective transfers well now that I am helping employers with their own staffing needs and strategies.
Even off the clock, I’m still quite the people person! Because I’m from the Seattle area, I am fortunate enough to have most of my family and friends nearby. Often times you will find me hosting summer BBQ’s with friends and family or socializing with other parents at my son’s football or basketball games.
