In fine Parker form, we continued the potluck tradition this month with a fall themed event. The spread was probably the best we’ve seen in a long time with everyone going all out.

The most highly anticipated part of the day was the Parker Pumpkin Dessert Throwdown. To say that we’re a competitive bunch is a severe understatement, to say the least. And there’s just something about food that ratchets the competitiveness up a notch!

And the contestants were… Kathy Akers’ Pumpkin Delights, Kat Grassel’s Texas Twister, Chuck Williams’ Pumpkin Chai Cheesecake and Debbie Crandall’s Pumpkin Tiramisu.

The entries

We invited in three client partners to make up our judging panel and after an extended conference, involving clipboards and official scoring sheets, a winner was chosen. We take the judging process very seriously.

Congratulations to Chuck Williams and his Pumpkin Chai Cheesecake! Chuck is the proud recipient of the coveted “Golden Spoon” as well as the undying respect of his peers.
