Our Parker Community Take a look at the great works our Parker People have been doing in charity work, community involvement, education, and fun. Parker supports Youth in Focus at the Getty Golf Tournament Parker proudly sponsored the first hole at the Getty Images Golf Tournament for Youth in Focus, as well as fielding a foursome on the course. The Parker team shot a respectable 3 under par (the winning team shot 13 under). Danielle Davis of Parker Staffing and Ashish Lakhani of Parker Technical greeted each player at the first hole and gave them a Parker golf shoe bag. Watching the Blue Angels in flight The precision Naval aerobatic team, the Blue Angels, came to Seattle in August for Seafair and Parker invited our clients to enjoy the show from the 800 foot level. Parker sponsored a table at the luncheons held at the Columbia Tower Club and invited our clients to watch the Blue Angels practice over Seattle. Our friends from Bernstein Investment Research, Laird Norton Tyee, Quellos, the Seattle Catholic Archdiocese, Skanska, and WDS Global enjoyed a fabulous lunch and a great show. Parker helps furnish the offices of the American Lung Association of Washington When Parker moved into our new offices, we had alot of furniture that needed a new home. The American Lung Association of Washington (ALAW) was a grateful recipient of the more than 6500 worth of office desks and furnishings. As a thank you for the donation, ALAW sent us two beautiful gift baskets and Office Manager, Carla Wong told us, “Our cubicles and offices look so professional now with the work stations and filing cabinets. Your donation means a lot to us.”. The Parker softball team swings for the fences The Parker softball team, the Headhunters, had an exciting season their first time out on the diamond. We had players from our Staffing, Technical and Operations divisions. Some of whom had never played the game before. Everyone had a great time, and we even won a couple games. The team was led by Chris Herzog, Staffing Recruiting Manager, and Scot Baker, Technical Recruiting Manager. Parker Staffing lends a hand at Ronald McDonald House When the Ronald McDonald House of Seattle needed some help preparing meals for their guests, the Parker Staffing team was there to pitch in. They spent a day cooking and helping out around Ronald’s house. Parker President Debbie Crandall speaks at PSAMA and SHRM Debbie Crandall, President and CEO of Parker Staffing Services, was an honored speaker at the Puget Sound American Marketing Association (PSAMA) and the Seattle chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). She spoke to both groups about motivating employees and utilizing scorecards as a technique for success. Parker Technical washes up for Child Haven The Parker Technical team grabbed their soap and sponges on a cold Saturday morning to wash the entire van fleet for Child Haven. The efforts of the Parker techies allowing the Child Haven folks to make a good impression when out in the community were greatly appreciated.
