Mobliss needed a reliable recruiting partner to assist in filling openings created by multiple mobile projects.
 
 
 
The challenge

Mobliss was in urgent need of four Quality Assurance Testers for a current project and the candidates being provided by their existing staffing vendor were below expectations and often left their assignments before completion. These unexpected vacancies placed additional pressure on the remaining teams and made it a greater challenge to stay on schedule, which was not a situation they wanted for this project.

The Parker Technical solution

Ethan Woodward with Parker Technical initially contacted the Human Resources group of Mobliss at a time when they had no pressing need for additional contractors, but kept in touch with them as their projects progressed. In July of 2007 Cheryl J. from Mobliss contacted Ethan and let him know that their hiring manager had an upcoming project with a rather urgent need.

Ethan and Betsy Basch, Senior Technical Recruiter, paid a visit to Mobliss to meet with Human Resources and the hiring manager to review the projects and personnel needs. They were told of the pressing need for a number of QA Testers for an upcoming project. Both Ethan and Betsy took the time to get to know the project, people, and corporate environment at Mobliss. This knowledge of the company made it possible to find candidates that had not only the right technical skills, but also the right personality and work ethic to fit the company.

Betsy was able to fill all the openings, and every contractor stayed on to complete the project. The hiring manager was so pleased with their work that many of those contractors were asked to stay on for other projects. The quality of these contractors made such an impression, Parker Technical was asked to find people for the Mobliss Development group as well.

When a new contract position opens at Mobliss, Parker Technical is able to pull from a pool of pre-qualified talent to quickly fill the need. Many of the contractors sent to Mobliss have completed previous assignments there and can quickly fit into the company culture. This ability to place returning contractors also means there is no need for an interview process, so the projects get the needed resources that much faster.
