The Broadcast Equipment Consultants Group provides value-added consulting services that help simplify equipment purchases for broadcast networks, call-letter stations, Cable Head-ends, MSOs, and corporate facilities. The group was launching an exciting new offering to their customers, and they needed assistance in quickly growing their sales force across the U.S.

Mona Valdok, an experienced consultant in sales and marketing, took on the search. From the division’s vice president, she learned that TI’s hiring process includes a management review assessment and structured interviews, including one with a corporate psychologist. Mona tailors her services to the unique needs of each client, for example, consulting with the client to develop unique questions for candidate and references that target the specific skills and experience needed for this position.

Because referrals are so important to industry-specific searches, Mona began her recruiting process by reaching out to her nationwide network and sourcing candidates she knows from the audio-visual/video industry. Ultimately, she was able to assist several candidates through the selection process and placed sales managers for the group in Dallas, Denver and New York.
